(The Daily Athenaeum) (U-WIRE) MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Despite the fact that West Virginia high school graduation rates are decreasing, enrollment at West Virginia University is holding steady at about 22,000.
Total head count enrollment at WVU for the fall semester is 21,987. Of this number, 64 percent, or 14,357, are West Virginia residents.
According to W. Wes Williams, assistant vice president for Enrollment Management and Services, the University accepts on average 8,000 incoming freshman per year.
