This is WEEKEND EDITION from NPR News. I'm Scott Simon.
The United States Supreme Court has agreed to take up the presidential
election dispute. The court announced yesterday it will hear George
W. Bush's challenge to the hand recounting of ballots that is now
under way in two Florida counties. The Florida Supreme Court has
ruled that the state must include those manual recounts in its final
election results. Without the hand tallies, Mr. Bush has a 930-point
lead over Democrat ...
