FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DECEMBER 5, 2000 BARR CALLS ON PRESIDENT CLINTON TO STOP DELAYING EXECUTION OF DRUG KINGPIN JUAN RAUL GARZA WASHINGTON, D.C. - Representative Bob Barr (R-Georgia) today wrote President Clinton urging him to move forward on the upcoming execution of drug kingpin Juan Raul Garza, slated to die by lethal injection on December 12, 2000. Juan Raul Garza was convicted and sentenced to death in 1992 and has exhausted every avenue by which he may be granted an appeal, including the United States Supreme Court.
