Article: Regents approve Burck as U. Texas System chancellor

(Daily Texan) (U-WIRE) AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas System Board of Regents Wednesday appointed Dan Burck the permanent chancellor to the head the UT System.

Burck, who has served as the interim UT System chancellor since June, was selected unanimously by the nine regents via a telephone conference call.

"The UT System is indeed fortunate to have Dan Burck in this vital leadership role," said Donald Evans, chairman of the Board of Regents. "He is uniquely qualified to lead the system forward in all aspects of its mission teaching, research, patient care and public service."
