Analysis: U.S. Supreme Court fails to meet challenge
WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Called upon to respond in a clear and non-partisan
way to the nation's presidential crisis, the conservatives, moderates and
liberals on the Supreme Court of the United States failed badly.
The roots of that failure lie in the problems that have plagued the court
throughout the last decade and have now resulted in the failure of collegiality
that produced six separate opinions in the 5-4 decision late Monday night.
The full effect of that failure on the fragile credibility of the U.S. Supreme
Court in the 21st century is still an open question, and will have to be
evaluated by ...
