It's TALK OF THE NATION. I'm Juan Williams.

Last night was a night for historic speeches. Al Gore conceded the controversial 2000 election to George W. Bush after an epic battle that lasted for more than a month after Election Day. And George W. Bush claimed the presidency with a speech in which he tries to rise above partisanship. He promised to serve the nation of people who voted for him as well as the even larger number of people who voted against him.
