When a child loves a toy, really loves a toy, it becomes real.
Or so goes the tale of "The Velveteen Rabbit," a play that centers around the magical life of toys.
The story of a stuffed rabbit who longs to be real has captivated children for decades.
Oregon Children's Theatre will present its version of the play Friday through Sunday at Portland's Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The play will feature original music performed live by Portland pianist Michael Allen Harrison. Harrison will be accompanied by a local quartet.
