Social club joins together for community betterment
DETROIT -- Sick and tired of business as usual and in some cases do-nothing block clubs, residents of northeast Detroit have formed The Believers Social Club.
"The purpose of our club will be to bring our children together and to provide social settings designed to create and implement activities, social gatherings, trips, educational programs and to initiate adult activities such as cabaret, casino trips and entertainment," the club's president, Brenda Daniels said. "We will concentrate on our children and reaching out to other communities."
