SA: New Year dieters risk bad breath, say dentists

ADELAIDE, Jan 3 AAP - Post-festive season dieting could cause bad breath, according
to the Australian Dental Association.

Association SA president Dr David Miles said dieters eat infrequently, causing bacteria
in the mouth to stagnate.

He said without chewing and the texture of some foods the mouth could suffer a lack of cleansing.
