What is this affliction? This "I only drink red, or I only drink white wine" malady?
Certainly nothing I've ever suffered from, but this is from a guy who started life's wine appreciation course drinking pink catawba at the Jazz de Opus in the early 1970s -- remember those cool beanbag chairs?
It is beyond comprehension that anyone would drink only white or red wine, and yet it's a fairly common presumption.
At a small soiree I attended recently, the wine table was stocked some tantalizing choices: Alsatian and Oregon pinot gris, whites and several reds, including two from Burgundy.
