Residents Fight To Curb Rise in Violent Crimes

Like other cities its size, Phenix City is now wrestling with the problem of a sharp increase in violent crimes involving youth and young adults. The most recent crime involved the death of a 18-year-old Central High School senior. Mr. Anthony Goodwin, Jr. was found shot to death outside an area church. He had been killed with a single gun shot wound to the head. His death, only added to the growing number of violent crimes that has plagued the city.
