TEHERAN - Israel must unconditionally withdraw from southern Lebanon before Hizbullah will consider talks about a cease-fire, the group's leader said yesterday.
"We hope they withdraw, and we consider a withdrawal to be a victory for the Islamic resistance," Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, secretary-general of Hizbullah, told a news conference here.
"The annihilation of Israel is a separate matter. Let them withdraw unconditionally, and we will talk later about whether we will continue fighting," Nasrallah said.
He reiterated that his group is not receiving military aid from Iran.
