A study about coral reefs finds alarming new declines in the marine
ecosystems that biologists like to call the rain forests of the sea.
The last scientific survey found about 10 percent of the world's
coral reefs had been lost. Now just two years later, that number
has gone up to 27 percent. The losses are in the waters of the Middle
East, in the Indian Ocean, around Southeast Asia and in the Caribbean.
