Red Wings 3, Mighty Ducks 2
DETROIT (AP) -- Sergei Fedorov's power-play goal with 6:03 left in the third period gave the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Mighty Ducks Friday night.
Anaheim continued its slide with a 2-12-2-1 record in its last 17 games.
With Detroit on a power-play, Fedorov collected his 23rd goal of the season when his slap shot from the top of the right circle went in off the short side pad of Anaheim goaltender Guy Hebert.
The Red Wings' Steve Yzerman had tied the game 4:20 into the third period when he poked in a loose puck in the crease.
Anaheim opened the scoring with two goals in a 54-second span in the first period.
