Senator John McCain has begun a series of town meetings with Russell
Feingold, the Democratic co-sponsor of the McCain-Feingold bill for
campaign finance reform. Last week McCain met at the White House
with President Bush, who differs with him on banning soft money contributions
from individuals. Soft money refers to the now-unregulated contributions
to party organizations as opposed to campaigns. The Arizona Republican
