NSW: Swimwear company dumps workers

A union says swimwear company Speedo has dumped 60 workers under plans to push its
manufacturing base offshore.

The company yesterday announced plans to sack 65 sewers at its last Australian plant.

Textile Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia organiser STEVE DAVIES says a mass
meeting was held today at the Windsor plant, north-west of Sydney.
