British Singer Ronnie Hilton Dies

LONDON (AP) -- Ronnie Hilton, a 1950s crooner whose hits included ``No Other Love'' and ``A Windmill in Old Amsterdam,'' has died.

Hilton, 75, died Wednesday in Hailsham, his family said. The cause of death was not disclosed.

He left his factory job in northern England after winning a singing contest in 1951, and went on to record a string of hit singles. The first was ``I Still Believe,'' which reached the third spot in the British charts in 1954.

His slicked-back hair and good looks boosted his popularity, and he modeled himself on stars like Bing Crosby, Eddie Fisher and Perry Como.
