Sunday, March 4, 2001 -- The Bank of Israel may not be able to continue implementing monetary policy if worker sanctions continue, central bank spokesman Dani Yariv told The Jerusalem Post last night.

"If the sanctions continue, we will not be able to publish next month's monetary policy," he said. According to Yariv, negotiations between management and workers will reconvene today and Monday. In the meantime, he said, the union is allowing ongoing work at the bank to proceed.
