SAN ANTONIO -- With athletic 7-footers Tim Duncan and David Robinson on the roster, San Antonio's success this season shouldn't come as a surprise.
Still, with the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers and the high-priced player roster of Portland in the Western Conference, few predicted that the Spurs would have the West's best record.
With the regular season 80 percent complete, San Antonio (46-20) is the front runner to claim the West's No. 1 playoff seed.
