Friday, March 16, 2001 -- Fending off disease with a healthy diet is a concept almost everyone accepts. What they don't know is that maintaining a balance between the calories you take in and the calories you burn is also an important part of that defensive strategy. Researchers believe a caloric imbalance increases your risk of developing cancer.
