In a victory for Texas Governor George Bush, the US Supreme Court
has overturned the Florida Supreme Court's decision extending the
deadline for certifying the presidential election. The decision overturned
the Florida state Supreme Court ruling that had let hand-counted ballots
narrow Bush's lead over Vice President Al Gore. NPR legal affairs
correspondent Nina Totenberg is at the Supreme Court.
