(The Daily Universe) (U-WIRE) PROVO, Utah -- Christian Heimburger returned for a new semester in fall 2000 to find a $3,000 credit card bill from a card that he never saw, never signed or never used.
Heimburger, 24, a senior from Heber, Wasatch County, majoring in American studies, completed a form that enabled a credit card company to send him an application in the mail.
As a reward, he was given a free pair of sunglasses and a headache from credit card fraud.
Someone stole the credit card from the mail, then racked up charges over the summer, Heimburger said.
