BEIJING, Apr 20, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- obile phone text messages will become a new earner this year for China's telecom operators, but more customer-oriented services are needed to fulfil market potential, according to telecom analysts, as China Daily reports.

Text messages, the most popular value-added mobile telecom service, have been adopted by many young mobile phone users as a fashionable and cost-saving way to communicate.
