Three killed outside presidential palace
MANILA, Philippines, Apr 30, 2001 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Philippines President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo said Tuesday she might file sedition charges against supporters of the jailed ousted president Joseph Estrada after violent clashes outside the presidential palace left two police officers and a protester dead, reports said.
Thousands of Estrada supporters stormed the presidential Malacanang palace after police arrested Estrada for financial frauds while in power.
