Commentary: Rivalry between President Bush and Senator John McCain

BOB EDWARDS, host:
A campaign finance reform bill is headed to the House after receiving
Senate approval yesterday. President Bush has said he's willing to
sign a bill that improves the system. The president's lukewarm commitment
seems to reflect his feelings about the bill's co-author, Senator
John McCain. Relations between McCain and President Bush have been
tense since their competition in last year's primary election. Commentator
Kevin Phillips says there's more to the Bush-McCain squabble than
meets the eye.
