In Presbyterian churches across the country today, church leaders
brought back the message that it could be a contentious year ahead.
On Friday, the General Assembly of the biggest Presbyterian organization
in the country voted to allow gay and lesbian members to be ordained
as ministers and as other church leaders. The Presbyterian Church
USA has confronted this issue many times in the past two decades.
