NSW: Forum on cold water pollution

Experts meeting in southern New South Wales today warn that the state's rivers are
being damaged by cold water released from large dams.

The problem -- known as cold water pollution -- kills native fish, puts an end to recreational
uses like swimming, and causes a proliferation of cold water pests such as carp.

It's believed to affect around 2,500 kilometres of the state's major waterways ...
