"The activities of the Karmasangsthan Bank has come to a standstill
in the absence of a Managing Director. We urged the concerned authorities
in writing to appoint a new MD or notify Abdul Malek Mian, General Manager
of the bank to deal the functions of a MD as we have no post of Deputy
Managing Director (DMD)," said M. Muniruzzaman Khondoker, Chairman of the
Karmasangsthan Bank. Last Thursday, Dr. Farashuddin, Governor of Bangladesh
Bank assured the Chairman of the bank that he would look into the problems
of the bank with all seriousness. The chairman of the bank also contacted
