Ice cream, biscuits recalled

WASHINGTON, Jun 22, 2001 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Friendly Ice Cream Corp. on Friday voluntarily recalled half-gallon packages of its mint chocolate chip ice cream because they may contain pistachio ice cream and nut fragments, posing a danger of allergic reaction.

The ice cream was distributed to supermarkets, convenience stores and Friendly's Restaurants in Massachusetts. Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana, West Virginia, Michigan and the Carolinas.
