Orton "I began my career with Bell Laboratories in New Jersey as an
engineer in the late `70s and joined General Electric in North Carolina
in 1984 where I had my first involvement with graphics. I was recruited
to Silicon Valley in 1990 to join Silicon Graphics <Company: Silicon
Graphics Inc.; Ticker: SGI; URL: http://www.sgi.com/>, which was
the premier graphics company in the early `90s, where I took on a
variety of roles including senior vice president and general manager,
