PETALING JAYA, Sun. - In a true Malaysian spirit of racial harmony, a
traditional Chinese wedding reception last night had all the elements of
Western, Malay and Indian cultures.
Hau Yong Kyan, 32, and Monica Ng, 29, decided to hold their wedding
reception in such a manner after agreeing that it would be most suitable
considering that they have close friends of various races.
The wedding reception began as soon as the couple made their entrance
with flower petals sprinkled in their path by a pageboy in Malay traditional
costume and two flower girls clad in the customary Western gowns.
