Article: Corporate results bring little cheer for investors, BUSINESS TIMES

AMID generally more difficult operating conditions, the batch of
corporate financial results announced in June has as expected brought little
cheer for investors.
Of the 60 companies which announced their quarterly results, 39
performed poorer than a year ago period, either by posting a lower profit,
a bigger loss or suffering a loss compared to making a profit before.
Among them were stockbrokers, engineering concerns, manufacturers and
property developers, with stockbrokers TA Enterprise Bhd and Hwang-DBS
(M) Bhd, furniture maker Tomisho Holdings Bhd and property group Berjaya
Land Bhd slipping into the red from a net profit same time last ...
