As Washington Libertarians prepare for a campaign workshop Saturday in Vancouver, state Republican Chairman Chris Vance this week denounced the minor party as a caldron of "kooky, radical, mostly left-wing ideas."
Speaking out on the subject for the first time in his five months as state chairman, Vance said the Libertarian Party is "completely out of step with ... most Americans."
He cited the party's stance on several issues, including legalization of drugs, slashing defense spending and opposing public education.
