HUMAN DEVELOPMENT has long been considered as the first step to
preserve human rights and dignity worldwide. These share the same concepts
for the prosperity of world nations.

According to the Human Development Report 2000, social prosperity is a
necessity for humans in the 21st century. This is essential for the preservation
of freedoms and progress in all fields.

The report noted that people will have to secure their freedoms and
rights from discrimination and from threats to personal security.
