COVERDELL ANNOUNCES APPROVAL OF DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION INCLUDES FUNDING
FOR F-22, C-130Js & OTHER GEORGIA DEFENSE PROJECTS
WASHINGTON, D. C. - U. S. Sen. Paul Coverdell (R-Ga.), Georgia`s senior
Senator and a member of the Senate Leadership, today applauded passage
of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2001 which authorizes
spending for the Department of Defense. The bill authorizes funding
for
critical aerospace development and manufacturing in Georgia including
funding
of the F-22 and authorization for six C-130Js. The bill also includes
authorization
for construction projects worth $117 million, and pay raises for ...
