THE interior design profession has made its mark in Malaysia for some
time now. In fact, the sector began laying the foundations of its existence
when property development started making an indelible impact on the country's
economic growth.
However, even after years of existence, it is still difficult for
people to recognize the role and functions of interior design. Many times
I have been asked: "Is that the same as interior decoration?" And I have
had to reply otherwise, sometimes having to provide detailed explanations.
