Vic: Police award recipient still seeks compo
Victorian police officer JASON STRIEGHER is receiving an award for bravery today, but
says he'd also like to be receiving full compensation for being shot.
His Police Valour Medal follows a confrontation with a gunman who shot him in the stomach
in 1999.
Senior Constable STRIEGHER had the misfortune to be shot at a time when his right to
sue for compensation had been withdrawn by the KENNETT government
