The Asia-Pacific managing director of the world's largest domain-name registrar
talks to K I Woo about his company's strategies.
ARTHUR Chang expects that with the recent advent of Thai-language
domain-names, Thai companies will soon be scrambling to register.
During a recent trip to Bangkok, the Asia-Pacific managing director of
Network Solutions Inc, the world's largest domain registrar said that the
recent November 2000 inclusion of Japanese, Chinese and Korean domain-names
has spurred a huge increase in registrations.
"At the end of 2000, we had about 800,000 domain registrations in
Japan, China and Korea," he said.
