NSW: Teen grew facial hair and voice deepened after weight pills
SYDNEY, July 30 AAP - A teenage girl trying to gain weight grew facial hair and developed
a deep voice after receiving what she believed were vitamin injections from a GP, a Sydney
tribunal was told today.
Dr Monier Gad is facing charges of professional misconduct before the Medical Tribunal
for allegedly giving his patient anabolic steroids as part of a testosterone treatment
three years ago.
The patient, who cannot be named, told the tribunal earlier this year she was "really
stressed out" about everyone telling her how thin she was at 52 kilos.
