(The South End) (U-WIRE) DETROIT -- Sequels often fall flat, but "Rush Hour 2" seems to have evaded such a destiny. In it Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker return as odd couple police officers Inspector Lee and Detective James Carter, respectively.
The movie picks up right where the first film ended. Carter is visiting Hong Kong and being guided around by his new-found buddy Lee. This time Carter is the fish out of water, the role Lee played in the first "Rush Hour." All Carter wants to do is check out the sights and the ladies of the Orient, but he can't get Lee to stop focusing on police assignments. When an American embassy is suddenly bombed, Lee agrees ...
