SA: Melbourne restaurant wins best wine list award
ADELAIDE, Aug 20 AAP - A restaurant in the heart of Melbourne's alternative strip has
the best wine list in the nation, according to wine experts.
Circa, The Prince, on Acland Street in St Kilda, was tonight named the national winner
of Australia's Wine List of the Year awards.
Judges included Australian and international wine journalists and a panel from London's
Institute of Masters of Wine.
Judging panel head Huon Hooke said that in the eight years since the award was established
by liquor merchant Tucker Seabrook, judges had noted an improvement in restaurant wine
lists nationwide.
