Fed: Family law advances add to the maze, says Vanstone
CANBERRA, Aug 29 AAP - Family law services would be streamlined to cut down on the
complexities to be navigated by separating couples, the federal government said today.
About 50,000 couples divorce each year, with more than half involving children. This
does not include de facto relationship breakups.
A new report suggests ways to streamline information and services for separating families
and to remove hurdles making settlements unnecessarily hard and expensive.
