BEIJING, Sep 14, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- China and South Africa's Mining Industry Study and Cooperation Meeting was held in Beijing on Sep., 6. Some top officials and dozens of mining industry companies took part in it.
South Africa is rich in minming resouces, especially in gold, copper, magnesium, chromium etc. Its gold reserves is 40 to the world total and sales volume 48 to the whole nation's; chromium mining reserves is 40 to the world total with an import volume 60 to the whole world's. Mining industry is conducive to South Africa's economy and developed fast in recent years.
