FAIR LAWN -- It was about 11 p.m. on the Fourth of July when Tanya Nehrebecki
received "the worst call a mother can get." She was told her son, John
Della Pesca, had been hit over the head with a baseball bat.
When Nehrebecki arrived at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, she
