(Columbia Daily Spectator) (U-WIRE) NEW YORK -- Although some might not understand the vision or goals of Queer Awareness Month, its vocality and visibility are quite apparent.
From covering the campus at Columbia University with queer speak-outs, to gay-themed quiz shows, to a live DJ on college walk in honor of National Coming-Out Day, Queer Awareness Month is the kind of campus event that is difficult to avoid.
According to the event's organizers, QuAM's purpose extends beyond the celebration of one of Columbia's most vibrant groups.
