(Daily Collegian) (U-WIRE) UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State and Michigan have only been playing football against each other since 1993, but the memories of those battles seem unforgettable.

The two schools have been playing football since the late 19th century, but because Penn State didn't join the Big Ten until 1993, the two teams never played before that.

Today in the newly renovated Beaver Stadium, a football palace of 106,537 seats, luxury boxes, expanded handicapped zones and state-of-the-art scoreboards, the next chapter of the tradition will be written for the Wolverines and Nittany Lions.
