US airlines are continuing to feel the financial reverberations of
the September 11th terrorist attacks. A sharp decline in air travel
is forcing United Airlines to cut its flights at Los Angeles International
Airport by 40 percent, and by 33 percent at San Francisco. Also this
week, Delta announced that it's eliminating its six weekly flights
