Crik: Justin langer steers Western Australia to 1-121 at tea

PERTH, Oct 27 AAP - A patient Justin Langer has steered WA through the afternoon session
without loss and into the tea break at 1-121 on day two of the Pura Cup match against
Tasmania at the WACA.

With Australian selector Andrew Hilditch looking on, Langer batted for 206 minutes
to reach 85 not out.

In the process he erased any questions about who would partner Queensland's Matthew
Hayden at the top of the order in the first Test at the GABBA.

Langer was prepared to be patient, reaching his 50 in 139 minutes off 99 balls, as
he lay a platform for WA to chase Tasmania's first innings ...
