U.S. President George W. Bush is looking to enlist African nations into his war against terrorism and finding eager allies, well-positioned to help.

He also is finding countries in desperate need of help themselves, on a continent especially vulnerable to terrorism.

Bush was starting the courtship Friday with Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, their second meeting and Bush's first face-to-face session with an African head of state since the Sept. 11 attacks.
