Bangladesh Railway (BR) has leased to a real estate company some of
its own land in Khilkhet Namapara area near the railway track in the vicinity
of Zia International Airport, for construction of a road to connect its
project area to a proposed level crossing to be built with funding from
the project.
And the new under-construction level crossing is designed to allow
access to the residents of Banarupa Residential Project of the Banani Property
Development ( Pvt) Limited to the airport road. It is located within less
than two kilometers of two other level-crossings although railway rules
do not permit the construction of a new level-crossing within two ...
